DropGap is a local-video pre-editor by Illyism. This policy covers the Android app and this account server.
What we collect
- Google account email and name, if you sign in with Google.
- Subscription status and minute usage tied to that account.
- Google Play purchase tokens, to keep Pro access in sync.
What stays on your device
The source video or audio never leaves the phone. Waveform peaks, speech VAD, the edit timeline, and the 720p preview proxy stay in app storage. Temp audio is deleted after a job finishes.
What leaves the device
Extracted audio chunks (mono 16 kHz) are uploaded so we can transcribe them. If you paste your own Gemini API key, those chunks go directly to Google. If you use a DropGap account, chunks go to this server and then to Google Gemini. We do not keep the audio after the provider returns a transcript.
Payments
Subscriptions are sold only through Google Play Billing in the Android app. We do not take card numbers. Manage or cancel in the Play Store subscription center.
Retention
Account email and entitlement records stay until you delete the account in Settings. Device projects are deleted when you delete them in the app, or when you uninstall.
Your rights
Sign in, open Settings, and tap Delete account. That removes the server record. You can also email the developer from the Play Store listing.
